All-new 400hp Verado outboard!

Mercury Marine is introducing an all-new 400hp Verado outboard – the most powerful Verado on the water.

Since the launch of Mercury’s 350hp Verado and Mercury Racing’s 400R four years ago, boat owners have been asking for a higher horsepower Verado engine. Now, those requests have been answered.

“The acceptance of the 350hp Verado has been incredible and through extensive conversations with our customers around the world, we have learned that there is an appetite in the marketplace for a Verado-branded 400hp four-stroke outboard engine,” said John Pfeifer, Mercury Marine president.

“As boats continue to increase in size, so has the need for more power. This gives us an opportunity to provide an even higher horsepower Verado, providing the durability and reliability that the Verado brand is known for around the world.”

The new 400hp engine – built on Mercury’s proven L6SC Verado platform – is suitable for a wide range of applications including blue-water fishing boats, larger sport boats, centre consoles and pontoons.

Boat lovers will appreciate the new engine’s added power while enjoying the smooth and quiet operation for which Verado outboards are widely known. Weighing just 303 kilograms, the same as the 350hp Verado, the newest Verado is the lightest outboard in the 400+ HP category by more than 130 kgs.

The 400hp Verado will exclusively use the 5.44” 1.75 HD (heavy duty) gearcase and is compatible with Mercury Joystick Piloting for Outboards. It will be available in the same model variations as the 350hp Verado with colour options of Phantom Black and Cold Fusion.

Mercury’s belief in the all-new 400hp Verado is clearly reflected in its 3+3=6 year outboard warranty – providing engine owners with an additional three years of factory-backed protection against failures caused by defects in material or production.

“The introduction of the 400hp Verado is another step in the evolution of the proven L6SC platform that has been successful in the market and we expect to be successful for years to come,” said Mr Pfeifer. “Through extensive consumer research, we have determined that there is a market for both variations of the 400, giving consumers the opportunity to have two extremely reliable outboards to choose from based on their preference.”

The Mercury Racing 400R, for high-speed applications, will continue to be available through our dedicated Mercury Racing dealer network.

VHF MARINE RADIO,DSC,AIS-RX,RS40

Integrated AIS and GPS Receivers
A dual-channel AIS receiver monitors the position of nearby AIS-equipped vessels, helping you to avoid collisions in crowded harbours and waterways. AIS information can be viewed on the RS40's built-in screen, or overlaid on your chart or radar screen through a compatible multifunction display. An integrated GPS receiver ensures your boat's location can be sent with DSC distress calls, even if the rest of your on-board electronics are powered down.

Removable Fist Mic
The RS40's removable fist mic can be connected to the front or rear of the radio, and optional extension cables allow the radio and mic to be mounted separately. This offers a simple and cost-effective solution for any mounting location, with no cable clutter. For example, the RS40 can be mounted overhead, with no hanging cables, while the mic is connected to an extension socket on the dash below.

Expandable with Wireless Handsets
Add an optional wireless handset to take your radio anywhere on board. The HS40 handset was designed as an intuitive portable companion to the RS40. Each handset duplicates your radio's display and controls, enabling remote access to all key functions. Up to two wireless handsets can be connected to a single base station. With multiple handsets connected, the RS40 doubles as a handy on-board intercom.

Features :

  • Class D DSC approved VHF radio
  • Dual channel AIS receiver
  • Integrated GPS receiver
  • Removable fist mic supports front or rear connection
  • Connect up to two wireless handsets
  • Add an optional loudhailer or external speaker
  • NMEA 0183® and NMEA 2000® connectivity

VHF W/L HANDSET,DSC,HS40

Wireless Control of your Fixed-Mount VHF
The HS40 handset offers remote control of your fixed-mount RS40 VHF radio. Make calls, scroll through channels, and quickly initiate DSC distress functions from anywhere on board. With the HS40, you have the maximum transmission power and features of your fixed-mount VHF radio, with the convenience and portability of a handheld.

Communicate Anywhere On Board
With a range of up to 100 metres, the HS40 offers complete coverage aboard even the largest powerboats. One or more HS40 handsets and the RS40 base station can also be used together as an on-board intercom system, enabling clear communication between crew members vessel-wide.

Designed for Real-World Conditions
The HS40 handset is rated IPX7 waterproof and uses an inductive charging system – meaning no exposed power connectors – for maximum protection from the elements. A full charge provides up to 8 hours of use, giving you total freedom to move around your boat.

Features :

  • Wireless handset for the RS40 or RS40-B VHF radio
  • Handsets and RS40 work as an on-board intercom
  • Inductive charging with the included cradle
  • Up to 8 hours battery life
  • 100-metre range from base station
  • Fully waterproof (IPX7)

IS42 DIGITAL DISPLAY

Clear Views and Intuitive Control
Designed for use in all conditions, the IS42’s full-colour display panel is optically bonded to its protective glass covering; this eliminates the possibility of condensation or fogging within the display. Transflective LCD technology makes use of reflected sunlight to brighten rather than obscure the displayed image, delivering superior daytime visibility and lower power consumption compared to traditional backlit displays. Simple, waterproof controls make the IS42 easy to use in rough conditions, and reliably responsive to wet or gloved hands.

A Truly Multi-Purpose Digital Instrument
The IS42 instrument can be configured to display multiple ‘pages’ containing information such as wind conditions, vessel speed, depth, and more. Quickly switch between pages to access the information you need, when you need it. Engine monitoring pages display important data such as RPM, engine temperature, trim tab status, fuel flow and economy for up to two NMEA 2000® connected engines. When networked with a compatible AIS receiver, the IS42 also offers a clear graphical display of nearby AIS-equipped vessels. Watch for potential collision hazards with customisable alarms, and receive AIS safety messages right on the IS42 for the ultimate situational awareness.

Easy installation
The IS42 is simple to install with an easy front-mount option, requiring no access to the back of the console or panel, and single-cable NMEA 2000® connectivity for both power and data. The IS42 is compatible with a wide range of instruments, sensors, engine monitoring interfaces, Simrad autopilot systems, and other NMEA 2000® data sources. With plug-and-play connectivity, you can use as many or as few IS42 displays as needed to create your ideal digital instrument display. It’s easy to configure data pages suited to your boat and activities, making your most important data immediately accessible.

Features :

  • Optically bonded 4.1-inch colour display
  • Display wind, speed, depth, engine data, autopilot status and more
  • Advanced AIS functionality including DSC calling to AIS-equipped vessels
  • Intuitive operation with waterproof silicon keys
  • Easy installation with front-mount option and just one cable
  • Add an OP12 keypad for full Simrad autopilot control
  • Low-profile glass helm design
